Business goal: Update the visual design of the UW Medicine School of Medicine section to match brand standards. Eliminate content rot (redundant, outdated and trivial content). Replace it with content that does not feel overwhelming but provides prospective students the detail they need to determine whether they will apply.
User story: As a prospective School of Medicine student, I want to be able to understand the breadth of information available on the School of Medicine website and quickly decide my path.
My impact: I reduced the redundancy of section content and the complexity of page text enabling visitors to increase the findability of information.
Audit the 500+ pages of content
Work with stakeholders to determine what content should be migrated to the live website and what should be migrated to the intranet
Information architecture for all content migrated to the external website
UI writing (headers, accordion titles, body copy)
Layout pages using existing content modules
Reduce redundancy of information across pages
